Microinterview: Tripp Stelnicki

Tripp Stelnicki’s 100 word microfiction, “Press the Button”, will appear in the second issue of The Centifictionist (Vol. 1, Issue 2, Fall/Winter 2020). Tripp graciously answered a few brief questions for us. Read the interview below.

Tripp Stelnicki

1. What inspired the story “Press the Button”?

Having a few minutes and wanting to get it done. If there was ever a year
or a moment where you’ve got to be able to set little achievable goals and
meet them, it’s this one. I couldn’t say where it came from.

2. What inspires you and your writing?

Only trying to write something true.

3. What keeps you going when experiencing times of misery and despair?

A lot of it is outside your control. One foot in front of the other.

4. What advice do you have for microfiction writers?

There’s a lot to explore in small spaces.
