Ken Olson’s 100 word microfiction, “Money”, will appear in the second issue of The Centifictionist (Vol. 1, Issue 2, Fall/Winter 2020). Ken graciously answered a few brief questions for us. Read the interview below.

1. What inspired the story “Money”?
My challenge was to express strong personal feelings without crossing the line into partisan politics.
2. What inspires you and your writing?
The difference between achievement and folly.
3. What keeps you going when experiencing times of misery and despair?
Reading. The genius, talent, and ability of others.
4. What advice do you have for microfiction writers?
Read everything – not just microfiction.
Ken Olson lives in the Pacific Northwest. Since 2013 his poetry has been published in Haiku journals in the U.S., England, and Australia. In 2019 & 2020 Ken has published several Flash Fiction & Nonfiction stories.
